'American Pickers' Find The 'Holy Grail' Of Motorcycles, A 1947 Harley Knucklehead (VIDEO)
Tuesday, April 10, 2012 12:38 PM
1947 was the last year that Harley-Davidson used what later came to be known as the "knucklehead" engine. The following year, they switched to the Panhead engine, changing the look of the motorcycle. On "American Pickers" (Mon., 9 p.m. ET on History), the guys were excited to find a 1947 Harley Kucklehead motorcycle, dubbing it the "Holy Grail of motorcycles."
Mike and Frank offered the owner $25,000 for the bike, but he balked at it. His counter-offer of $40,000 they read as more than just a guy playing hardball with them, though.
"Thatâs the âI donât want to sell itâ price," they said. In their opinion, the guy was still emotionally attached to it, so it was better to leave the cycle where it was and simply know that it's out there and in the hands of someone who cares about it.

'Two And A Half Men': Is Walden Going To Finally Kick Alan Out Of The House? (VIDEO)
Tuesday, April 10, 2012 12:24 PM
Could "Two and a Half Men" (Mon., 9 p.m. ET on CBS) be evolving even further? The relationship between Walden and Zoey has been evolving naturally, and throughout it all she's never seemed to really understand why Alan continues to be around. So when Walden proposes that she moves in, Zoey's first notion is to imply that this would mean Alan should probably move out.
Alan, psychically, felt a chill, but the issue wasn't really addressed quite yet this episode. Alan spent most of the episode with his new sort-of-sister Lyndsey, now that their mothers have sparked up a relationship of their own. But the key to all of this is that despite all of the craziness -- and for no real known reason other than her own very severe issues -- Lyndsey is still with Alan.
So at the end of the episode, when Walden laid the groundwork for discussing Alan moving out, mentioning that Lyndsey does have her own place, it all made a perfect sort of sense. That said, could the show really change that much? Is it even possible to imagine Alan not sponging off of whoever is living in that house? Plus, if he left and took all of his craziness with him, what would there possibly be to keep him and Walden still in touch? Their friendship seems more akin to friendly college roommates than soul brothers.

'How I Met Your Mother': Barney Realizes What He Wants For His Future (VIDEO)
Tuesday, April 10, 2012 12:18 PM
Once again, "How I Met Your Mother" (Mon., 8 p.m. ET on CBS) used some clever framework to tell its story. This time it was built around Ted and Marshall's tradition of watching the original "Star Wars" trilogy once every three years. As such, fans were treated to trips back to 2009, 2006, 2003 and 2000. And in all of those moments, there were some consistencies.
Marshall and Ted waxed nostalgic about their futures, with Marshall trying desperately to imagine himself with a mustache and a successful job, while Ted wanted both success and love. Once Barney joined the gang, his was the picture of consistency. The same routine, only with a different girl.
But when they convened for the 2012 viewing, things had changed. Ted lost his optimism, while Marshall is finally coming close to achieving his. And Barney realized that he no longer wants a different girl every day. He wants Quinn every day. And so he rushed home to tell her, discovering that she felt the same way. Could she be the one?

Before Diamande Montague started preschool, she was the kind of kid who clung to her mother's skirt. When she and her mom went outside and other kids gravitated to each other, she'd hover close to mom. If they were in a doctor's office with a play area and the other kids were helping themselves to books and blocks, Diamande wouldnât join them.
Besides being shy, she had a speech delay. But two years later, her mother said, Diamande talks "mucho mucho mucho." She's learning the alphabet and can spell her name.

Dental X-Rays Linked To Common Brain Tumor, Study Finds
Tuesday, April 10, 2012 9:31 AM
Dental X-rays may help dentists collect essential information about oral health, but a new study is raising questions about their safety.
The new research links regular dental imaging to one of the most common types of brain tumors and suggests adults who were regularly exposed to X-rays in the past, before dosages were lowered, might have an especially pronounced risk.
For the new study, scheduled to be published online on Tuesday in the the American Cancer Society's journal Cancer, researchers examined data from more than 1,400 patients who had been diagnosed with meningioma: This is a type of tumor that grows in membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord and generally is noncancerous, but can lead to headaches, vision and memory problems and loss of speech and motor control. The researchers compared those individuals to more than 1,300 adults who were tumor-free.

Teen Pregnancy: Mississippi Has Highest Teen Birth Rate In The U.S.
Tuesday, April 10, 2012 2:00 PM
ATLANTA, April 10 (Reuters) - Mississippi has the highest teen birthrate in the nation while New Hampshire has the lowest, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Tuesday, following up on a report that found the incidence of pregnancy among U.S. teens was falling.
Mississippi reported 55 births per 1,000 teens aged 15 to 19 in 2010, more than 60 percent above the U.S. average, according to state data released on Tuesday. New Hampshire's rate was less half the national average at 15.7 births for the same age group.
Teen birth rates were higher in the South and Southwest and lower in the Northeast and Upper Midwest, the CDC said, noting that Hispanics and blacks had the highest teen birth rates.
Last fall the CDC reported that the U.S. teen birth rate dropped 9 percent from 2009 to 2010, reaching a historic low of 34.3 births per 1,000 teens aged 15 to 19. It attributed the drop to several factors, including strong pregnancy-prevention messages aimed at teens and increased use of contraception.
From 2007 to 2010, the rates fell at least 8 percent in 47 states and the District of Columbia. In 16 states, declines ranged from 20 percent to 29 percent. Montana, North Dakota and West Virginia were the only states showing little decline.
"In spite of these declines, the U.S. teen birth rate remains one of the highest among other industrialized countries," the CDC said. (Reporting By David Beasley; Editing by Paul Simao)
